We have a proven track record of working successfully with existing buildings of all ages. Whether they are Scheduled Ancient Monuments as at Oxford Castle and Prison or listed buildings of all Grades, or simply buildings of unique character which while unlisted are worthy of reusing from a social and sustainable perspective, such as our Picturehouse cinemas at East Dulwich and Crouch End.

We understand how to analyse historic structures and working with other specialists in the field are able to explore ways to get the most out of their reuse – be it conserving, refurbishing or converting to a complete new use. In doing so we aim to draw out the history of the building and ensure the character is reflected in the new moves we make – both materially and spatially.

Sometimes bold steps need to be taken to breathe new life into spaces which have long since been neglected, and we relish these challenges.
